QI ZHENG SI YU
Qi Zheng Si Yu is the esteemed system of classical Chinese astrology, once guarded as a secret tradition within the imperial court. It is regarded as the profound source from which the two renowned divination arts of Bazi (Eight Characters) and Zi Wei Dou Shu later developed and diverged. As the root system, it provides a uniquely comprehensive framework for celestial interpretation.
Qi Zheng Si Yu analyzes both tangible and subtle celestial forces. “Qi Zheng” refers to the seven principal stars: the Sun, Moon, and five visible planets (Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Saturn). “Si Yu” denotes four influential shadow stars—Ji Du, Luo Hou, Yue Bei, and Zi Qi—representing key unseen energies.
By precisely mapping their positions through the zodiac and the 28 Lunar Mansions, and interpreting them with principles of direction, yin-yang, the five phases, and numerous symbolic markers, it creates a singular and unrepeatable blueprint—as unique as the celestial moment of one’s birth. In ancient times, crafting such a detailed chart could take days, reflecting its profound complexity.
Unlike systems with repeating cycles (like Bazi / Eight Characters), Qi Zheng Si Yu offers insights so personal and dynamic that they remain beyond the analytical reach of even modern AI. This provides a perspective that is both timeless and deeply individual.
A core principle is “as above, so below.” The system meticulously correlates specific stars and sky regions with corresponding terrestrial domains—a practice known as “star-field division.” In ancient times, observed celestial phenomena were interpreted as omens for earthly events, guiding state decisions. This powerful application is why it was long preserved as a guarded secret.
